A Tropical Paradise // Spiderplant Shop

Recently, I discovered a new find in the heart of Brighton and I had to share it.

For those of you who don't regularly follow my blog or this is your first time reading, I study at Brighton Uni. First year is now over (hence the lack of posts over the last few months, oops), and Brighton is known for its eccentricity. One of my favourite things to do is to explore the city in further depth, going beyond the touristy attractions and seeing different spots.

This shop, Spiderplant, summarises Brighton in one breathe. Outside, unless you spotted the occasional leaf peaking out of an upstairs window if you looked closely enough, you'd have no idea that this little treasure was here. For this shop is hidden in a vintage store. That's right; in Doctor Who Tardis-eque fashion, the frontage of the store is entitled 'Waiste Vintage'. Yes, there are some plants sitting outside, but this, at a glance, appears to be a vintage, second-hand clothes store. Yet up one flight of stairs followed by another, there is a room full of all your plant dreams (and Instagram heaven). The room on the second floor has a variety of plants, but the one up the next flight of stairs has even more.

It is fair to say I was in my absolute element, nearly tripped over quite a few plant pots on the floor and probably confused the man opposite me, who was looking perplexed as to why I was taking photos of most of the room. I also think that after this, my friend, Lauren, will never let me go in a plant shop again, as I was here for some time. (Sorry babes.)

So many different plants line this room, it's unreal. If you're a plant lover, Instagram seeker or just a bit of a lost traveller, I'd strongly recommend you pay a visit to this shop.
