Unboxing Post - Benefit's New 'Cheekathon' Palette!

Hi,

I was so so happy when I came home from college to find this beautiful package waiting for me, so I thought an unboxing post would be fun to do, as I've never done this before on my blog!

This is the first thing I've ordered from Benefit (shocking, I know) and I was incredibly impressed with the packaging. It is so aesthetically pleasing and came well wrapped up - I literally sat staring at the package, it was so pretty I didn't want to ruin it!

When I opened up the package, the palette slid out really nicely on padded patterned tissue paper. It was really easy to get open, and I actually gasped when it slid out. I mean, look at it, how can anyone think that is not the prettiest thing ever?!

One thing that I instantly loved about this product is the fact it is so sturdy. Usually, I like palettes slimline, so they can easily fit in my makeup bag, but I would not complain about taking this away anywhere with me. There are 5 full size best selling Benefit products within this palette, and a handy super soft brush. For £44.50, this is such good value - although it seems like a lot, on average, these products are roughly £20 a pop. As I said, I don't own any of these products, so when I saw this was limited edition, I just had to get it.

Once I opened the palette, the first thing that struck me was the huge mirror. It is easily big enough for you to use when applying makeup, rather than a small mirror you'd carry in your handbag and have to squint at to see. And then the stars of the show themselves - the powders. As well as the well known Hoola bronzer, there is also an array of blushers and highlighters, such as Dandelion, Dallas and Rockateur. They are set in this beautiful gold backed packaging, with little stars in between, and come with the plastic overlay - it is such a classy product by Benefit, and on first impressions, I am suitably impressed.

I am super excited to try out this product and will definitely let you all know my thoughts and feelings about it (although I'm sure they will be very positive!) Sorry about the lighting as well - some of the powders, like the bronzer, look far darker than they actually are.

I hope you have enjoyed this unboxing video - let me know if you'd like me to do some more of these in the future. Have you purchased this palette yet? What is your favourite Benefit product? Let me know below!

Hope you all have a lovely week!

  1. I really wish Benefit came out with blusher palettes more often. I've bought all of these except Dandelion as individuals & have Hervana too. The palette format is such a great deal & I can't see myself finishing off a whole boxed blusher, so the slightly smaller pan size is no issue. I hope you enjoy the powders as much as I do! Xx

  2. This looks absolutely beautiful! I'm already a big fan of Hoola but haven't tried any of the blushes, Rockateur and Coralista look so up my street :) Looking forward to hearing what you think!
