Pink Hues // Makeup

Hi! So today, I am going to be sharing with you my favourite 'Pink Hues' of Summer. During June, July and August, I have been experimenting with different pink toned products, and really enjoyed using these ones.

Benefit 'Cheekathon' Blush Palette // £44.50 //
Benefit products can be slightly pricey, but for getting 4 incredibly pigmented blushes that are usually £20 a pop, this palette is worth it! I have been using 'Rockateur' mostly, however, 'Coralista' and 'Dandelion' are both gorgeous shades. 'Dallas' is a goegrous dusky pink, so I think I will use this in the Autumnal months. The colour pay-off is incredible and even though I've had this palette for a couple of months now, I still adore it.

Maybelline Dream Cream Blush // £6.49 // Shade 06 // (Out of stock online)
As well as using powder blushes, I have also been experimenting with cream ones. This little pot is perfect for a hot summers day or if you are rushing out of the house. This is a slightly darker tone than I would normally wear at this time of year, but it is incredible! As you can see with the colour on my finger (above), you only need the tiniest amount. It blends very well with fingers or a brush, and makes you look slightly more human. (Especially if you are like me, and as pale as a sheet all the time).

NYX 'Born To Glow' Liquid Highlighter // £7 // Shade 'Sunbeam'
This is a recent purchase, but it is already one of my favourite highlighters that I have ever used. I use the shade 'sunbeam' (the least pink toned) and just pop a bit onto the tops of my cheekbones. I would say that it is more of a natural glow than a 'bam' streaky highlight, but sometimes less is more, right? It is more pink toned than it looks - on the cheeks, I would only apply the slightest amount if you have blusher on, as otherwise it is a bit overkill. But on the whole, I love it!

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour // £8.99 // Shade 'Seduction'
Okay, so you are all probably extremely bored of me rambling on about this, but it's amazing, okay?! The Revlon Range of liquid lipsticks are my favourite ones - and for a lipstick lover like me, that is REALLY saying something! The applicator is soft and just the right side to get into the angles of your lips without smudging everywhere. Even after eating and drinking throughout the day, this is still on my lips when I take my makeup off in the evening. Honestly, if you have not purchased this yet, do it. Now.

Let me know what your favourite shades have been this month in the comments below and enjoy your week!

Katy x
